Parking:   Available in the streets on three sides of the park.

Bring:    Chairs, drinks and picnic lunch. Description:

The CCCQ Sports’ Day this year will be a picnic day with some fun games / sports’ activities.

Bring your chairs, drinks and picnic lunch and be ready to join in some fun and games.

Public toilets are on site. Beautiful Jacarandatrees provide much of the park’s shade.

This day is intended as a great way to enjoy the company of the Club’s membership through a few games and sport competitions. Thesewill include a selection of the following: Воссе Crockett| Finska Frisbee Golf | Golf Putting skill and French Cricket If we get enough participants then we will have a scoring process in teams of 2 and will organise some prizes. Fun Fact: This park was once part of the home estate of Brisbane retailer Thomas Charles Beirne. His original Department store T.C. Beirne was built at 28 Duncan Street Fortitude Valley in 1902 was heritage listed in 2003. (Worth a look) His stores were also very well known in the 1920’s through to early 1960’s in Brunswick and Ann Street in the City.
