AUGUST    A popular event in the past, is a train trip from Gympie to Imbul on the Gympie Rattler.  The steam train and carriages are restored by a local group and a running commentary on the train of the early history is really interesting.  It is a two hour trip.  A BBQ that night is at Geoff & Narelle Webber's home in Lagoon Pocket .  Accommodation is either camping there that night or back to Gympie at your own Motel accommodation in Gympie.    A C17 Engine is being leased together with Kuranda carriages from the Railway Workshops in Ipswich for a year, and is expected top arrive next week.

This is an event not to be missed.  More details when available from Geoff.

From the President.

Lastly if you would like to organize an outing, however small, please let me know? Members enjoy the company and the cars so it need not be "a new destination" to qualify.

Following on from the edition of Avant Garde I am appealing to all members please contribute to the magazine. We all have a story to tell and each is unique. The subject is wide open and not limited to cars!  Articles can be a paragraph,a page or a chapter or even an interesting article you have come across.  Lance Wearne.
